Meet Jose Junco
Jose 'Arturo' Junco opened High Performance Auto Detail in January 2014 after working for several of the most successful car dealerships in San Diego. Those dealerships service a discerning automotive clientele who demand not only detailing skills, but a deeper understanding of automotive paints and how to safely and effectively repair its flaws.
“That was when I began to see detailing as an art form - because I put so much of myself into every vehicle I clean, polish, and move to protect,” says Jose. “Detailing is about precision, and revitalizing or maintaining an ever-aging vehicle to the level of ‘like new’ is quite an artistic challenge.”
All those years working with high performance car paint, Jose began to specialize in prepping classic vehicles and exotics for auction; and recently accepted a position as lead specialist overseeing fine, rare exotics and classic vehicles at Cardiff Classics. Here he developed a deep understanding of the many different types of automotive paint, how each respond to the products you use on it, and how paint in general reacts in certain environments. This knowledge and expertise is imperative to preparing classic automobiles for auction.

Jose came up in the business with the understanding that quality and customer satisfaction are everything! He has never been known to cut corners. He uses only the finest professional-grade car care products; operates only the newest and safest equipment; and implements the most innovative cleaning technology and techniques for paint correction and long-term protection.

Today, Jose Junco (CD, SV) is dually-certified by the International Detailing Association and holds a Detailing Business, Paint Correction, Headlight Repair, and Ceramic Coatings Certification from The Detailer of Air Force One, Renny Doyle of Detailing Success.
Special Projects
He has also served two years on the Air Force One Detailing Team at Seattle's Museum of Flight, working on the preservation of the original presidential jet Air Force One, and dozens of other multi-million-dollar, historical aircraft.
Furthermore, Jose has earned multiple product training certifications from Meguiars, and a certification with 3M and Meguiars for Wet Sanding, a process closely related to paint correction.
A resident of North County for more than a decade, Jose is a family man, active in his community, playing, watching, and even managing soccer teams.

Certified Member of Detailing Success Network
Jose is certified by Renny Doyle's Detailing Success, the nation’s foremost Master detailing trainer, also known as the "Detailer of Air Force One". Detailing Success detailers receive a certification in detailing business and marketing as well as physical training in interior and exterior detailing, paint correction, and headlight restoration.
Members of the Detailing Success Network have access to a private forum where they can gain ongoing support and advice from other members of the Network, as well as expertise from senior members of the Detail Mafia.
Certified Member of the International Detailing Association
Jose Junco is a certified member (CD) of the IDA, and holds an advanced Skills Validated (SV) certification with the organization. As a member, Jose and his High Performance Auto Detail are held to a higher quality standard than non-certified detailers. Car owners can be assured that IDA members are tested and certified according to strict industry standards determined by leading industry professionals.

Member of the 2017 Air Force One Detailing Team
In June 2017, Jose received an invitation from Renny Doyle and the Detailing Success Network to join the prestigious 2017 Air Force One Detailing Team at the Seattle Museum of Flight. In late July, Jose helped Doyle's 55-man team continue their 15-year restoration and preservation of the original presidential jet, Air Force One.
They also clean and protect dozens of other multi-million-dollar aircraft on exhibit at the museum such as the Concorde Alpha Golf and a WWII all-aluminum B29 Superfortress Bomber.
